インターコンチネンタル・ラリー・チャレンジ第7戦ラリー・マデイラが開催され、アバルト・グランデ・プントS2000を駆るジャンドメニコ・バッソが同イベント3度目の優勝を飾った。
バッソは金曜、12のステージ中8ステージを制し、そのままラリーをコントロールしていくと見られたものの、ギヤボックストラブルに見舞われ、ペースを落とさざるをえなくなる。バッソはギヤボックスを交換したが、地元ヒーローのブルーノ・マガラエス（プジョー）からのプレッシャーが高まっていく。ラリー終盤、バッソとマガラエスは最速ステージタイムを出し合い、バッソはスピンを喫してタイムをロスしたものの、最終的には3.5秒の差で勝利を勝ち取った。3位にはアレックス・カマチョ（プジョー）が入った。
ランキングは、このイベントで5位に入ったクリス・ミーク（プジョー）が首位を守り、2位はヤン・コペッキー（シュコダ）、3位にはフレディ・ロイクス（プジョー）とバッソが同点で並んでいる。
