3gooは、PlayStation®4、PlayStation®5にて発売中の『WRC10 FIA世界ラリー選手権』について、FIA世界ラリー選手権の公式ゲームである本作を使用したeSportsイベント「eSports WRCチャンピオンシップ2022」を本日2月4日より開催することを発表した。
今年のチャンピオンシップはモンテカルロ（2月4日～7日）からギリシャ（8月12日～15日）まで、全13都市で開催。開催都市には、2022年のカレンダーで追加された、スペイン、ベルギー、クロアチア、エストニア、ギリシャの5都市が含まれる。2021年シーズンと同様、レギュラーシーズンでトップ8に入ったドライバーは自動的にワールドファイナルの出場権を獲得。ファイナルの開催日および場所は未定となっている。
「eSports WRCチャンピオンシップ 2022」は、WRC10のすべてのプレイヤーが参加可能。昨年は、15,000人以上が13ラウンドを戦い、世界ラリー選手権の第9戦が開催されたギリシャにて、ライブでの決勝戦が行われている。
